The protests in Ukraine have not been going well and the army has already turned on the people. The president won't give up and I am afraid that Russia will pull Ukraine even closer in.

I'm from the capital of slobozhanshina and the only thing russian about us is that we speak russian. Bukovina and west Ukraine is just.... Farmland. No polish over there, just a ton of Ukrainians.

Like Greece, Spain and Italy? Eastern Europe isn't close to their economic output and look what happened to them. Sure, Poland is rich now from all those loans but how will it be able to pay them back? It will go into debt. Usually, a country would then lower the value of its currency to fix these issues but EU law prevents this so you'll be tied to expensive export crushing Euro currency and major debt. Then they come to collect by stripping your government of powers, taking control and forcing you to take more debt inducing loans until they have completely bought up all your assets.

Putin isn't great for Ukraine either but he's likely a better option than the EU. The Germans will rule you without firing a single shot. You'll be buying their products with the money they lent you which you'll have to pay back. Which you can't. Then they'll change your laws and everything that is good about Ukraine will be swept away by legislators you never in voted for who only have their own interests at heart. Good luck living with Slavic women who would now feel entitled to state funding while still demanding Hegemonic masculinity. Femen started in Ukraine by the way and the abortion rates there are bad enough without EU interference.

If you look at it from that way it's very negative and to be honest, it probably won't happen. The only legislation that will be needed is the few that the EU requires. There are many politicians in the Ukraine that the people know about that would be fine in office and we would actually support voting in. Because it's hard to tell how the party of regions still exists without us voting for them. It's better to have EU aligned diplomats because the ones we have now don't have any boundaries. Putin probably exploits the Ukraine with Yanukovich more than EU ever could. The EU doesn't need our exports, they need our army and that's what we could offer them.

Yes he's going to wait for the people to clear out then do that. It seems very typical of him of he does that. However, if people force him to step down, then things will really change. Although now it seems like he wants to kill the protestors :O. Yanukovich not ready to give up his reign

It wont happen becuase your politicans and people aren't stupid enough to take loans? Why else do you think Ukriane wants to join the EU? To gain access to Euro cash. It has happened across Europe, it isn't thinking in a negative. It's reality. Im in the EU, it's terrible. The EU is dying, the Euro is falling apart and you want to join this economic shitstorm at the end of its lifespan as its singing its swan song? Why else are they letting economic poblems like Ukraine into the EU? To bleed you dry. I know more about this than you do. You cna't just say it's negative thining. It's reality. You have no idea what this means. It strips you of sovereignty. Your borders, your currency, your speech, your parties are all subject to EU legislation. You are no longer a nation, you are some backwater of a failing economic union designed to feed Germany.

No. Exploitation has its benefits. Ukriane will improve overtime. It will sustain. Under the EU, it will have a mini boom and then a financial meltdown.

Why would the EU need your army? It doesn't need military. Germany will lend you loans you cant afford. You will use that money to buy German goods and when you cant pay back, you go into debt and cant lower your currency forcing you into austerity and selling off key assets. The Ukranian government is working in the interests of the nation and its citizens. Th EU does not benefit Ukraine and it will kill it economically and socially. I enver said the EU needed your exports, I said it would cripple them because you cant lower your currency during an economic crisis.

Tik, the whole point of the protests isn't to join the EU. We aren't going to throw ourselves to Germany either. All that Ukraine needs is a better trading regulations that would allow Ukraine the option of Europe trade instead of the typical Russian one.

We will still have our own diplomats who will help Ukraine and I have no idea why Ukraine would suddenly start to take loans out. At this point, there just needs to be a better president who isn't corrupt and isn't a puppet of Putin. We need someone who can actually see the options for Ukraine.

They will get Ukraine too sooner or later and there's nothing you can do to stop them

I think that The EU would be a better solution think about it Russia's economy is Declining (as is everybody's) But at a more rapid rate than the EU, now granted if they get Ukraine it will probably boost it a lot it isn't good for World Orders! Now look at it this way! If Russia get's Ukraine then Their Power and Influence gains in the world and they will be that much closer to Reinstating Communism as their Government and Recreating the Soviet Union. I am an American and (as much as I respect Putin) i see that if Russia get's Ukraine it will be bad for the world! But that is just my take on it!

Also I would Like to see Ukraine being it's own Nation not necessarily Running to Germany's arms and being their slaves!

Just my 50 cents on this.Tik is actually right in most of what he is saying.This shit is happening to us already.In Spain and Italy too, but it hit us harder than them and its gonna hit Ukraine harder than us.The "Eu" , namely Germany (and the US too), are trying to dictate our economical plans, our taxes, our laws, everything.They buy our natural resources and government companies dirt cheap and instead of making plans for realistic payment of the loans, they make sure they keep lending us money we are never gonna be able to pay back and sucking us all dry through insane taxes.It usually starts with one corrupt puppet politician, that you dont even know he plays for the different team.We had one, his name is Papandreou, he is hiding in Usa now, he called for loans 1 year before the Greek economic crisis.They actually created our crisis.And they gonna create yours too.Doesnt matter what you want, nobody can stop it.We were rioting in the streets when our politicians were signing our doom with Merkel, i was there along with half Athens and police didnt discriminate between elderly and kids.They were bashing heads and throwing chemicals.They know how to protect their bosses and there is nothing the people can do.Greece has the largest anarchist group in Europe, so if we couldnt stop it, you bet your ass Ukranians wont be able to stop it either.We even had Golden Dawn fighting them, a nazist right wing gang turned politicians and entered the parliament and the government (guided by Us,Germany and Jews) illegally inprisoned them, when they started becoming a threat..theres no stoping the Eu gang!But in all honesty i prefer to be Eu puppet than Putin puppet..
