I mean honestly, Ivan and amok have returned to this website and are making great changes, props to them. However there is still things that is wrong with this game, that has basically 0 to do with coding. And this is the supporter program. Many of us have been in the supporter program, many of us know what that forum looks like. It's basically all talk and no action. I think they should revamp that system completely, because supporters in this game as of right now are as useless as tits on a bull. If someone wants to become a supporter, then should make there own resume to Ivan and Amok just like they asked for with developers who know how to code. Meaning what do supporters do? Market, Advertise etc... Promote the game basically. It's great people want to help out the game and become a supporter, but let's be honest, all you guys wanted was a dot next to your name and did nothing else. Ideas? Comments? Ivan and Amok have the game moving forward again, with the right supporters who are knowledgeable about marketing strategies can get more traffic to the website, more money in peoples pockets, more motivation to keep the game moving etc...
---- It's not the end.

With a little motivation and a new team this can change. And I believe there are things they do or are willing to do that majority of the community are not aware of.

It's fine that you believe we aren't doing anything for the game, but in reality behind the surface we do whatever we can in our limited powers to do the best for this game. For example, I am running The atWar Press. It may just be a mere blog, but it's good for the community to have something to read every now and then to get a quick run down for information on any recent events that have happened on the game. I've used The atWar Press to get some issues of the players to the administrators, such as new moderators, a referendum on whether black is okay to use, a chance for users to ask Ivan questions in an interview, and just a fun small project for us supporters to work on because we can. I also created the atWar Discord server in hopes of bridging the community together and a better communication method for supporters to chat together instead of our outdated Skype group. We've also been granted permission from Ivan to host protocoin giveaways on the Discord server, as Sun Tzu will no longer be able to carry on his protocoin give aways due to his demotion. Things like this bring positive change to atWar, no matter how small they are. As of now Pavle is running Google Chrome's 'Adopy a Newb Centre' programme, which is great as we're seeing a lot of new users joining this game. There is also a marketing plan being discussed and will soon be worked on. As I said, it may seem we aren't doing much on the surface, but behind the curtains we're trying to figure new ways of making atWar more enjoyable and fun for everyone. Suggestions are always welcomed. PS. Keep in mind we have no budget or anything, so marketing and advertising is more difficult. Vlad, a member of the Supporter group, currently makes YouTube videos with thousands of views, bringing in hundreds of new users daily, so that really isn't being 'useless'.

It's true that since Abfahren's time the purpose has become a bit more unclear but I can assure you they are doing stuff xD There is a supporters forum which they discuss a lot of tasks and carry them out too. The thing is most of us don't need a supporters help so a lot of their work goes unseen where as they're there to help the newbies and that I think. The last thing I can think of is Pavle running the find a mentor thing so big up to him.

Oh come on bro.. I mean its good and all that you guys make AtWar Press etc, but its mostly because most of you guys want recognition for something and choose for it yourselves, nobody asked any of you to 'waste' your time and create those things. As for the content of the AtWar Press, its always the same, either its propoganda about hdrakon or w/e or its about the same elite group, not really anyone is waiting for, but hey like you said, its good to read every now and then. About the discord thing, imo its just a waste of time and energy, just like the radiochat was. Mentioning Pavle is just straight out a joke, especially for you, I mean its Pavle we are talking about, can't take 1 piece of critics or he deletes his whole threads or asks for mods to delete/ban those comments from his threads, that is never gonna work. Not to mention he really isn't the brightest person for this job (or any job, in general.. ) Its a fact supporters group is just a bunch of people who want a status above the 'regular' people in this game, but thats all what it is. I have my respects for Vlad for not bragging about the shit he's done, like most of the people from the supporters group do, just like above..

One of the main reasons why I enjoy doing The atWar Press is because it improves my English skills and prepares me for journalism. If you ask anyone who truly knows me, I'm currently in University studying to become a journalist, consider this a little work experience for me. I've made similar projects like The atWar Press in other online communities in my years of gaming as well. You're right about one thing, no one asked me to waste my time with the atWar Press, just like no one asked Clovis to waste his time for the atWar calculator, or previous supporters for wasting their times on tutorials for new players, or Google Chrome for wasting his time on his Adopt a Noob Center, or The Tactician/Meester on wasting their time on their previous atWar newspaper, or the hundreds of players playing this game every day. We all do this because we chose to do it, because we enjoy doing it. I also don't understand the meme about The atWar Press being a propaganda for hdrakon, considering he hasn't even been mentioned in the last couple of issues. I write an issue for The atWar Press when there's been a lot of activity, like last week with Sun Tzu being demoted, Ivan & Amok being active again and adding new updates to the game and the new moderators. The Discord server is used by the users and they enjoy it, and as long as it's being used, even if it's just by 1 user, then it's serving it's purpose. I've met new people that aren't part of the competitive scene through this server, and even found a good candidate for supporter role (Asylan), so that's good enough for me. Just because you think it's useless doesn't necessarily mean others will agree as well. And as for Pavle, if Ivan has faith in Pavle then might as well give him a go and see what he has to offer. It's better than nothing, can't hold past grudges forever. People can improve if you give them time, and if Pavle wants to help atWar then he should be allowed to do so without being judged.

It makes sense that its a practise matter for your future job, so im fine with that, you've made a point about that and the discord, still I think its a waste of time, it will only devide the community more but hey like I said, just my opinion. As for Pavle, he is just a joke, and if you are completly honest to yourself, you would know this too. Doesn't matter if both Amok or Ivan approve him, they probably haven't even ever talked to him in-game, let along see the way he spreads and has spread cancer and toxic into the chats. Just call a spade a spade. So as for the purpose of this supporter group, I am just simply saying that its more of a disadvantage to even mention Pavle in a positive way, because making Pavle a supporter already proved the point that the supporters group is mostly unneeded lol.

Radio was the best, apparently there are some legal reasons why they can't add it back. Sasha was telling me he had pretty much made his own but then stopped working on it because of what he read about some law or something.

Ask everyone else I spent the first day as a supporter trying to figure out why the dot wasn't appearing and how I could keep it like that. 1. It didn't work. 2. If you could find a way to get rid of this dot it would be helpful ty it looks ugly on my name, i don't want it. Fuck social status...some of us really just want to help. 3. I am saying a dot looks ugly, but i wouldn't mind something else...for example a red star?

Annoying when they do that, they're just being attention seeking and infact abusing the Chat when saying that. Itd make more sense for them to pm the person telling them to stop but no moderator or admin would see them doing that so they dont.

tbh i think this shud apply to mods. mods shud have to submit some kind of resume + application; it seems to lax if u ask me, and prolly would encourage mods to take things a little more seriously. but i agree with everything you said above
