Yes to the first, no to the second.
Will take a lot of coding and unlikely to happen even though I wouldn't mind having something like this.
Very. Considering even dumb AIs exist only in the testing stage: AlphaGo

Has been suggested too many times before... already answered: too difficult to program and, in case these ever happens, the AI would have the skills of a rank 1. Not worth.

Exactly. All game AIs just make moves by calculating those with the best possible odds. If they were true AI humans would have no chance of winning. AtWar is a strategy game, with very few variables. At most that AI would be good only for tutorial battle training, in which case there's no point making one in the first place.

Most strategy games give AI rudimentary functions. However, in most strategy games, on higher difficulties, they give AI bonuses to help face human opponents.

>very few variables You could probably make an ai that is excellent at producing troops and possibly tb'ing, but that is it. Making an ai that could wall skillfully, predict human moves, move in the freeform environment of aw, and function in every map type of aw is not even remotely possible.

Exactly. Hell it would get problematic even in the basic Europe or World 50k map

A 'Smart' AI is not AlphaGo. Garry Kasparov was beaten at chess by am IBM computer in 1996. I forget the computers name. That wasn't smart AI either. AlphaGo is capable of learning.....but only about GO. Not on any other topics. It is not capable of expressing emotion, identifying and replying to speech, nor does it possess the ability to act on its own volition. It is not even a 'dumb' AI as it is extremely limited in its functions, let alone a 'Smart' AI. It's merely a step in the right direction 9f AIs but will remain only, an extremely hard game AI. Just a more advanced version of the AI you play against on say....chess.com or on a downloaded chess app. Outperforming a human, does not an AI make. A computer may not have the equivalent of the total processing power if the human brain, but is capable of calculating even 2+2 much faster than a human...Siri, Cortana, or even your phone's calculator, are not AIs

Even a basic AI program would be very complex to create, therefore don't see how it would be possible. OT: Please search the forum before making new suggestions
---- intelligence + imagination = extraordinary result

Man.. we should fund raise for this to be implemented.. higher a coder for this.. would be awesome... and make it a premium option... would get alot of money from doing this... more players coming in.. buying premium just to play with the NICE POLITE AI... i think playing with AI really would be peaceful... like i said we should fund raise and hire a good coder to create an excellent ai.. im telling you it might cost 1000s the first year or 2... but 10 years or 5 years from now.... we would have massive amounts of players... just buying lifetime premium... begging their parents ma pa please buy me lifetime subscription haha
