Hello,

Does in every strategy the main units become available even tho you didn't buy them as upgrade?

For example:
-Guerrilla Warfare, gives you Marines and Militia, even without the upgrade?
-Master of Stealth, gives you Stealth, Marines, Submarines without the upgrade?
(I know you get Stealth with Master of Stealth, but with the rest strategies?)

Because if u get these units with the Strategy, i see no point in getting them for the other strategies, since they're not the main unit the strategy offers, and therefore not the best.

I just want to make it clear what upgrades will be best to buy for my strategy, and not trow SP away on everything.
I'm trying to collect it for the most important upgrades, such as Air Transport capacity..

Another thing..
Is that list of upgrades up to date, in the "game strategy and tips" forum?
Because i see things missing, like "Anti-Aircraft" upgrades..

You get these units with the strategies (only when playing them specifically) because otherwise the strategies are useless.

I'm predominantly a Sky Menace player so I'm a bit biased, but here goes...
  • Air Transport Capacity I & II--essential for SM, highly recommended for other strategies
  • Transport Capacity--I almost never use normal transports when playing SM but they're very useful with all other strats.
  • [The ability to purchase] Militia--for when you're bankrupt or get creative with transports.. It's a pretty cheap upgrade, too, should be one of the first you get.
  • Sky Menace, because it's easy to play (if you can play TG you are more than ready) and kicks ass!

Also, I'm pretty sure there are no anti-aircraft upgrades available. And you can buy Marines anyway dude, no upgrades needed!!!

There are anti-aircraft upgrades, i had some on my main account, "Stronger AA +1 defense" & "Mobile AA +3 movement".
I trow away so much sp using that account, don't want to make the same mistake, i agree with the Militia, but still, why getting marines if they're not useful at all when playing "Great Combinator" "Tank General" etc etc, sure they're good for breaking walls, but i'd rather send a bomber instead of it, it has bigger range.

Sorry, I didn't know about the anti-air upgrades. How much do they cost? I can't see them myself, but I don't have a lot of SP on hand...

Bombers are good, but they can't take cities. But in a world game where you as the USA for example show up on China's doorstep out of the blue with 200 Marines makes for a good use case. The element of surprise can be most powerful if you know how to use it. That's why MoS is often seen as a hard strategy to play, because you must turn some essentially weak units into forces that annihilate your enemy's defences. Another use is for breaking into strategic depth* by, say, capturing cities well beyond your front with the enemy.

And as I said, you can buy Marines anyway! They are not an upgrade, you just have them! They can be good in almost all strategies, you just need to use them the right way!

* I am well aware that the most widely accepted definition is not exactly what I'm talking about. Pedantry city -> that way.

They cost ~7500SP, and the other one for 10k+, i'm not sure which one costs less, and i play Tank General atm, i don't have Marines, but i do see them in the upgrade list and they cost 1.000 sp :S

Marines are usefull in any strat that doesn't decrease their power when you have alot of income. eg. IF, marines are very useful,
bombers are useful in most strats if you want wuick support and don't want to waste money (and income hit) on an air transport.
stealths same as above, if you have alot of money.
militia are really useful when you are low on cash, or don't want to waste your attacking troops walling a city.
