I noticed an amount of alt accounts has risen as f*uck in every forum these days.
I wont go in reasons why people are making and using them, but I will touch what are consequences of their heavy using.

They are making forums look unserious and only things people do by using them is:
- trolling
- spamming
- making pointless threads purposely
- avoiding ban on main acc
- provoking
- breaking rules
- showing bad opinions by hiding from main account, so they dont lose reputation
- making offensive polls
- etc..

...

This can be easily stopped by mods who should comply further reports about alt accounts on forum.
I mean, using alt accounts on forum cant be anything good, so I please you to vote and show your opinion about prohibiting them or at least their checking (by IP) more often by moderators.

Cheers,

Croat

My alt has 12 posts (including this one) out of which 2 are in this thread, in other 10 i didnt write anything different then what i normaly would.

Also reason why i use this isnt to avoid bans/mutes becuase my forum ban was 2 days long and it ended like 5 or 6 days ago while i started using this only 2 days ago.Same for in game mute which lasted only 1 day and i used alts 2 days after my mute, why i do that? well, because of some weird reason these alts give me 5 day free premium

Even though I agreed that the alts need to be regulated, I disagree with the intend of this thread. Alts account shouldn't be moderated in forums due to two reasons:

1. A person may make a thread from an alternative account if he desires to keep his name in the anonymous. This doesn't means the content of the thread is bad, but that the person was self-conscious about him/herself. Example: http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=22390

2. Even if it get moderated, those "trolls" can always change their IP to another one to keep "trolling". Nowadays you don't even need proxy and basic knowledge about how the internet connections works but just a website plugin and that is. Additionally if he does this from the beginning then moderators wouldn't be able to know his real main account (therefore he won't receive an actual punishment).

Overall I think the following additions/changes to the rules would regulate the usage of alternative accounts in the whole game quite well.

Cita:

4.2 An alternative account(s) is a account(s) made by a person who already owns another account(s). The user is able to play the game with said account(s) with the discretion of its owner and in accordance to the atWar rules unless he decide to participate in a community event or a game competition such as Clan wars or Duels. In said case, using alternative accounts will be only allowed if both parts involved knows and agrees to beforehand.

4.3 Registering an alternate account for the purpose of disobeying the rules or to avoid punishment of your main account is not permitted. In case there are different owners with the same IP address, it must be clarified before the action happens in order to avoid the punishment in those accounts. Account swap from an user to another user who got punished, or from two different players in a community event(Tournaments) or game competition (Clan wars, Duels) are not permitted.

Maybe a better solution would be to make some type of requirement. For example, only level 3 players and above can post here. Just an idea of course..

So you want to prolong the time required before somebody can post on the forum?
What if they have questions to ask, ideas to share..

I was thinking that would be a conflict when I posted this yesterday. It can be a good thing and a bad thing. But I think more of a good thing to implement. Generally a low rank should not have many questions to ask or ideas to share since he is a new player. New players have enough to explore in the tutorial, plus we have plenty of helpful information here in the forums that they can look at, and most importantly they can always ask for help in room/help channels. Having these rank 0 accounts here isn't necessary.

If they really want to post here they should be of a required rank.. plus, it may motivate them to play and it will discourage these 'trolls' from trolling this place.

"Generally a low rank should not have many questions to ask or ideas to share since he is a new player"
This goes against logic. It's the exact opposite of what you wrote.
When you do something for the first time, do you have a lot of questions? Of course you do. You want to know what it actually is; how it works and so on.

"New players have enough to explore in the tutorial [..]"
The Tutorial is awful and currently under a revamp. Even after exploring that, one can still have many questions to ask.

"[..] and most importantly they can always ask for help in room/help channels."
Well, what if there was no one who answered their question? And this happens quite often - when I use my alts I see no one responds.

How about allowing rank 0-xs or something to post in the questions forum only, and notifying them once they reach rank x they can post anywhere else.

i suggest 4 to be x

I don't want to argue over this with you. Like I said e Mare. We have enough helpful information on the forums that they can LOOK at. It doesn't take much effort to hit rank 3 any way? I did it just fine, so did every one else.

I don't know what you are talking about, but when ever I see some one ask for help in the help channel.. some one usually helps them out. You make it seem like this community is really bad by claiming that. The tutorial has ENOUGH information to get the players going (if it had every thing they needed to know there would be no point in playing...)...Heck, I didn't even use the tutorial when I began to play.. I got by just fine and it's been very fun learning new skills. I also had no idea about forums.. I have met many players that tell me the same thing.

Please tell me what good is it if any one can make 1000 alts and troll the forums so easily? Maybe it gives you some thing to do... any thing else you want to add?
