Ultimate WWII: Manstein

Hi. I was interested on tips for being manstein (german east) in Tik-Tok's Ultimate WWII. What strats you use, what troops you tend to buy, how to use romania effectively, etc. thank you!

PD, inf+waffen SS

I tend to play PD and only use infantry (i use waffen every now and then) the goal for me is to get romania to take stalingrad, Russia can stack stalingrad with a ton of units but only if he wants to, i usually try to wall off the volga river separating stalingrad from kazan. other than that its just walling and trying to outsmart russia, it isnt easy but its possible

2.- tell tunder to gamble on russia
3.- take anything that tunder hasn't killed yet

How come we talk of manstein and no mentions IF. IF is tailor made for manstein since all the cities are nearby one another and moscow isn't far away for IF range. Playing IF manstein is easy provided you have a good and helpful romania. I usually try to wall all cities and move bulk of infs near adminstration zone where I can hit moscow with 120 units + gen turn 4 into turn 5 . Most russias will put 100infs to defend moscow maybe even 20-30 more. At this point it all depends on how romania plays. If romania can send 50 mountain ranger to moscow you can cap him by turn 5 itself. If romania goes deeper into russia going for volga and stalingrad you can sit back and defend easy as IF is OP in both attack and defense.

manstein overall requries good coordination with romania. A dumb romania means you would have defend rather than attack as russia can spam 50% more units(if not more) than manstein. Even then being IF means manstien is more than capable of defending itself until germany manges to kill uk.

You can also try lb manstein. Advantage with lb is that range will never be an issue compared IF. But units in stack will not be as strong as IF. It still works but you have be careful about money as lb is expensive.

The movement debuff with IF oughtweighs more then it's benefit as manstein imo. from the times i've played Ostruppen, the movement range lets me move units into transport to reinforce Leningrad and Stalingrad whenever I needed to the most.

Getting stalingrad and st petersburg can be tough target as they are both can to stacked to heavily , it all depends on how russia plays and how romania chooses to help you.

What about both of you learn how to play GW mainstein. It's better than any other strat.
