Is there a world map where every part of the world is as interesting and rich as Europe? I like playing world maps on low eco, but you can only start in so many places in North America and Asia on 3k. And you can't start South America and Africa if you want to actually win, assuming North America and Europe (respectively) develop equally as well.

You're probably talking about heavy spamming roleplay maps... However, Africa and SA always stay poor in comparison to EU or NA. Anyhow, I wouldn't consider that kind of map "balanced"

I've never been sure about it. EU+ itself has a comparable number of reinfs to Asia and way more than Latin America or Africa, even though it has way less population than any of them. I thought reinforcements were supposed to reflect the population and that income is supposed to represent the economy. But it's only been worked out for EU+. The rest of the world is not dense enough, not connected enough and also doesn't have enough reinforcements. A lot changes need to be done to make other parts of the world map more interesting...

south & central america: 600.000.000 mil
europe: 750.000.000 mil
yet SA and central has more reinfs.

EU+: 367 reinfs
- 13 removed from Caucasus
- 30 removed from Turkey (Istanbul is European)
Europe: 324

Central America: 88
South America: 189
Latin America: 277

European population in 2016 was 738.9 million, while Latin American is 643 million (you missed something, most likely Caribbean). The difference should be up to +5 million now, since European population is constantly decreasing and Latin American is constantly increasing.

Let's say all that is correct... using the ratio of populations, Latin America should have 281 reinfs. So you are definitely not correct. But my point was that the densities are uncomparable and it makes parts of the map outside EU+ less interesting. The ranges are definitely not aligned, unlike EU+ on which everything is tuned (e.g. UK reaching Spain with PD). I often fail something by 0.5 or 1 range with all possible range hacks, which kills the expansion possibilities.

Note: maybe it is more interesting how USA and Canada have 238 reinforcements, while having a population of only 360 million. It makes them uncomparably stronger than the rest of America.

Update: I think I found a map that does what I've described. Funnily enough, it was updated just yesterday. Maybe the creator is watching this thread?

Only criticism is semi nonstandard units. But at least there's only a few extra and they are standard across countries. A LOT better than maps that have special units for each country.

There is also SCALED-MEGAEARTH by ezzatam --downside is that there are too many special units for my taste.

I am currently working on a new edition of the default World Map, with more additional cities and incomes that reflects economic developments.

Like --> Thanks to global shift, USA Pacific is becoming increasingly prosperous - more than any other state ( in my opinion ).
Like --> Thanks to tourism, the economy of some countries are mainly dependent of the coastal cities, as result coastal cities get higher income.

Still working on it, if you guys have some input, I would appreciate that.

I think the most of the world needs to be crowded with countries just like Europe is. Have you worked on that?

Do you mean the way the ++ extra cities are short in distance to the other? I started with adding some nice cities into EU+, last days I have been busy to make Africa somehow a littlebit more powerful and interesting to take as starters spot. Despite the poverty, which is still reigning most of the countries, several extra villages (with few and high citizens) have been contributed.

EDIT: https://prnt.sc/np01oh (small image of what I've worked out, like adding new cities (income has been up-dated too, not visible on image ofcourse)

Yes, that is good. But I mean, the rest of the world should be nearly as crowded as that to be fun.

I didn't got problems with that while doing the Arabian part like Egypt, Syria, Iraq. Got more problems in the Southern part of Africa and South America too. (Like Brazil Amazon, Uruguay)
