I said that I don't get it that people mistake leftism for liberalism (like you), since they are opposed ideologies, political positions, opinions, practices, etc.

Well he is not totally wrong to be honest. Seems to me that leftism and liberalism are getting closer and closer (in practice) to the point that its hard to distinguish between them anymore, one going towards the middle and the other towards the extreme. The left is pissing on its values and taking islamism, terrorism and mob gangs under its wing, liberals managed to make a joke out of lgbt and female rights. Colored rights have become a joke aswell, supported by both left and liberals and the same goes for free speech and censorship. The left is slowly becoming as opressive and dogmatic as the right and betraying its classic values and as a result there are millions of people (like me) worldwide who dont belong anywhere anymore.
As for antifa, in 2017? Dont make me laugh, they became the biggest joke of them all. Anarchists? Same. I just saw a post in facebook today from my old anarchist friends. They were proud they rioted to protest a supposedly unfair sentencing of one of their comrades. They broke tenths of shops and cars downtown, in the process, just to make their point. That was private property of hard working people who never did anything wrong. These parasite traitors are the new anarchists and the new antifa, protecting illegal islamofascists and at the same time attacking innocent taxpayers and their property. And i know that its not local, this new generation of fuckheads highjacked the movements not only in Europe, but in America too. They are just criminals and thugs who should be thrown to Guantanamo bay. The whole left is a rotten mess now. Liberals and leftists are becoming one.

P.s. obviously there are still good ones. im just generalizing based on how i experience things.

Actually this is nothing new; only who thought (and think) that the "leftist movement" is something monolithic and homogeneous is nowadays surprised to see "liberalism" and "leftism" with similar social, economic and cultural demands. One has to look at "leftism" beyond the State and party leftism, after all, politics is done in every relation between people, politics is done on the street, in school, in a canteen, in every corner of life.
A great portion of leftists movements have embraced issues as feminism, anti-racism, sexual diversity and rights, etc. long time ago. Which does not mean that most of leftists support these claims; I would even say that it is a minority of leftists that fight against sexism, racism, culturalism, etc.
As to anti-fascists, I think it is very urgent to re-position (and reinterpret, modernise) this political issue: fascist movements are on the rise and they have to be confronted with a reloaded anti-fascist movement.
As to Anarchism, it is and will always be an urgent and necessary utopia. Something to look for, opposed to traditional hierarchies and power structures. Probably not by those who "only" want to seed chaos and destruction. I don't want to judge on riots; what came first, the rioters or the structures of dominance that provoke them (to a vast extent)?
