Perhaps this thread could be a clearinghouse for suspected cheating. Just played a game where the opponent was clearly using 2 accounts. The primary account (arrrschizo) would continue playing, but the secondary account (carapuz) would join, then ally, then quit. This join/ally/quit cycle repeated about 10 times. I suspect the secondary account was joining just to feed money to the primary account. Anyone else see similar suspicious activity? Perhaps the developers could add some code that would prevent a player from rejoining the same game more than 5 times (or something like that).

Or perhaps it would be a good idea to log IP addys of all players entering the game... duplicate IP's get auto-kicked and multiple attempts result in auto-ban? Just some thoughts.

Thanks for reporting, it's taken care of. We'll make it so that it will only be possible to send cash after playing for at least 3 turns. And also add the duplicate IP check.

I assume any banned IPs be removed from the blacklist after a couple of days?

IPs won't get banned, it just won't allow you to join the same game from two identical IPs.

Now that's a good question. Guess we'll just have to limit transfers to minimum 3 turns play.

Well, as long as you only block Joining Games, if people on the same IP are allready in game it shouldn't be too much of an issue, and if they arn't, then not being part of paricular game won't do them any harm.

Actually, I've found a very neat solution how to disallow joining the same game from the same PC. It's better than checking by IP, so roomies will appreciate that

There should be a "no players from same IP" option, that way you can play a game with your roommates if you want, otherwise you can check it and keep potential cheaters out.

How are these new players popping up getting such a high rank? [Rank 7] LiodaGobert 03 Jan & [Rank 7] n00less cluebie joined 04 Jan im not saying they are cheating as i have no idea if someone can get to that rank that fast, but just wanting to know how many hours do these ppl put in to get this high in this short ammount of time.

Well if you play a lot it's not that hard to rank up exceptionally fast. Also it depends on their play styles. If they're just naturally good at these sort of conquest games, and are very, very aggressive. They'll get tons of SP per game and then get medals really fast. And some games give TONS of sp if you do really good, like a game I just finished ended up giving me like 25k SP. (dem gold medals) So you should check their other stats, how many games they've played, how many they've won, how many units they've killed, how many battles they've had. Cuz I mean they've been around for almost a month so being rank 7 is far from unreasonable. I've only been here for 6 days and I'm almost rank 6.

Hi all, Thanks Crazy Ivan for compliments on my rank ) As Colt556 is saying, if you play a lot, you get ranks very fast (like any web games) It has nothing to do with skills or cheat. Play a lot, pick up worldwide or asia games and you get ranks that fast with the right strategy. Edit : Checking your stats and mine, You played 6698 weeks and I've played 4897 weeks. I joined two month later, but I'm close to you in game turns.

I've hardly been playing lately, and when i do i play I play small quick games & with these influx of new players (lambs to the slaughter) they are easy pickings (SP) I guess that's why I'm going down the leader board and others are ranking up fast.

Well longer games do tend to give more sp per turn due to the fact that one can have lots more battles/killings per turn.

As for myself, I notice the majority play Europe games, while I prefer Whole World or Eurasia myself. While still fairly new to Afterwind, I'm a veteran Risk player from Lux and ConquerClub as well as an Axis and Allies fanatic. Ah well, I guess that's 2 more players you're gonna have to ban to get 1st place, Crazy Ivan!

Well i ranked up pretty fast, but that was because not only did i have loads of previous experience playing with my friend, but because i was on holiday when i made this profile (i gave my other one to my little brother). we spent up to 8 hours a day playing together and i got ahead of him in a day or two (i had already got him to rank 5). my fav games are europe, when i do them right i can easily get 500 sp per game and i sometimes get 1000
---- i know there's an answer i just don't know what it is yet
