Did you like it? Were you surprised? Are you irritated that Abrams screwed up the expanded universe or hope that he will user in a new age of the STAR WARS? For the most part, I liked it. But it seems like a remake of episode 4 with what Anakin Skywalker should have been like in the prequels played out by the new bad guy.

Saw it today, it was great, everything you could want from a star wars film. Poor han solo, but at least we still have chewy

Kylo Ren reminds me of what Anakin should have been in the prequels. A person fighting between good and evil.

Saw it at the premier and I'm hoping to watch again soon.

Pros
- All the new characters are solid. Great banter and interesting personalities. Especially liking Rey and Poe. Looking forward to how they develop Fin.
- Old characters were there but story didn't lean too hard on them. Harrison Ford got good screen time which is always good.
- Far grittier and real universe than the prequels. Lightsaber duels are more interesting than the prequels. Beautiful camera shots more interesting than prequels.
- Superior to prequels in every way.
- Probably the funniest SW movie to date. So many good laughs I was surprised.
- That final scene was epic and left me wanting more.

Cons
- Everything moved just a little too quickly.
- Stop holding my hand joke was sort of overplayed and made me cringe.
- Story gave me no reason to care about all the planets that got blown up.
- Han ;(

Overall I enjoyed it... a lot... it was awesome.

I liked the star trek movies too, bit I saw the trailer for the third one and it looks terrible. I'm not sure if you saw any of the other star trek movies, but the last time there was an epic huge space battle was in Nemesis where they had a 45 minute battle scene. I want something like that again

yea it was pretty funny, i liked that new droid, and i always find almost every noise chewy makes hilarious. But i did dislike how rey and finn literally picked up a lightsaber and then bested a trained sith. That was a bit ridiculous even if he was injured. And blowing up the deathstar was a little too easy(did they learn nothing from the first one? cant imagine they are cheap to make).

Fair point but Fin was losing pretty badly and even Rey was running away (until she closed her eyes and felt the force). Also we saw Kylo was not really a Sith yet and hadn't even completed his training. So I don't find it too unbelievable (especially if Rey turns out to be Luke's daughter)

I thought it was a bit unrealistic with that last battle too. I think what they should have done was have Kylo almost kill Rey but have other rebel forces attack him forcing him to run

something else to remember is that rey fought with that staff thing which means she has experience with a weapon similar to a lightsaber
