2017 Eurovision Song Contest

Usually I don't make any threads of this sort but I decided to make this one because today was the semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest, a true symbol of peace, cordiality and friendship between the nations of europe (at least some of it lol).

I basically wrote this to highlight my country's contestant, he studied abroad in Barcelona and made a living by performing in hotels and bars in Mallorca, Spain and then launched his first cd and got "thrown" into eurovision portuguese national contest, who composed the music our country presented tonight at the Eurovision.
I think his story is important to everyone at least because he has health limitations (heart disease) and he barely can stay out of the country for long, and needs constant medical supervision however, even though he missed all rehearsals in Kiev, he arrived just in time for the official competition and made it to the final.

If Portugal wins it'll be our first victory in the eurovision, we're one of the only countries that never won a eurovision contest (I think Armenia or something have like the most wins lol

Note: Israel participates because arabs don't want them in their contests xd

Da fuq happened with Georgia Albania and Finland I'm rooting for Switzerland, Bulgaria, or Italy now

I thought the show was pretty good. I was concerned about the stage not being as cool as Sweden's last year (Which I find hard to believe someone will be able to top), but their stage was actually descent. I'm disappointed in Australia though because the last two years they've sent fantastic acts, but this year's performance wasn't too great. I hope he does better in the final

What is euro vision?

It's a song contest that takes place every year in Europe. A lot of european countries plus Australia and Israel participate. 42 countries participated this year. Each country participating sends a singer/group to represent their country. There are two semi finals where ten countries are voted in from each semi final (a total of 20) to go to the grand final. In addition to these 20, six countries get the automatic grand final entry. The Big Five (UK Germany France Italy and Spain who give a lot of money for the eurovision budget so they get into the final) along with the host country (This year is Ukraine). The winner of the contest gets to host the contest the following year. Ukraine won last year so they host this year

Then end goal of globalism is to remove all cultural languages. It just so happens the United kingdom tricked everyone into learning there's xD personally I think we should be using german not english.
