What if Russia bombs (or nukes, if Russia takes it to the extreme) the Middle East, preventing the USA from getting all of that cheap oil, who funds the European countries in NATO. Which means NATO's funding can take a hit. But still, NATO could win. Just with great losses though.

Russia has more nukes than us, but Russia has the same amout of nukes as Nato, all the nukes would destroy the entire world anyways soo....i don't think anyone would even doubt using them
Normal bombs couldn't destroy the entire middle east, Russia doesn't have a lot of Bombers, at least compared to waht they'd need to destroy the entire Middle east.
and the Nato has a lot of troops in the Middle east, so duh...destroying it is gonna be hard

How will Ukraine win? Kharkiv got overthrown and is now pro Russian. Crimea is pro russian. Many eastern Ukraine regions don't listen to Kiev.

KA-52 old? ... Weapons doesnt get old just like that. Dont listen to USA. They are destroying older than 20 years weapon so they can procure new, thus making their factories running. Modern weapon can last for ages. Ak-47 is made 1947 and still holds 1# spot. T-34, t-55, 5-64, t-80 are perfectly fine for modern warzones. Same with SU-17, Su-22, MiG-21, MiG-25.

I said sorta old. And t-24, t-55 and other old weapons wont do shit against a modern abrams, which would have much more equipment, and other technological advantages.

Nope. US spent 200 billions on F-35 program, it failed, they made another F-16 by characteristics. While Russia is spending 2 billions on new programs like SU-35, MiG-35, SU-47 Berkut and steadily increase their superiority. No fails. America is wasting money. Their officer wages are 30,000$, Russians are 3000$. Thats why US military budget is 700 billion and Russian is 80 billion. USA is wasting cash on fail programs and high salaries.

But with money you can still buy more resources, weapons, vehicles etc.

I was tank driver. Give me T-34 and i will destroy atleast 10 Abrams. Especially today with all these new cheap equipement. You do know you can ''boost'' old weapons? Replace 85mm gun on t-34 with 100mm gun from T-44, replace engine from 520h/p with T-44 engine of 600h/p. Abrams doesnt stand a chance against slopped armor and 100mm gun. Not to mention t-55, t-64, t-80 boosted. That mean Russia can pull out 100,000 tanks from reserve and make them ready for war in 1 week, while USA will rely on 6000 abrams.

I thought you were for some reason, implying WW2 era tanks can take out modern tanks, my apoligies.

EDIT: same with planes, MiG-21 with parts of MiG-29, SU-17/19 with parts of SU-27, just replace modules with reserve parts of modern planes, that way Russian Air Force will have +20,000 additional aircrafts, while USA will rely on high-tech 2000 F-16. MiG-21 with strong radar will find F-16, lock it and shoot it down on 80km, while F-16 would expect such an old plane will ''dogfight'' him.

sounds like German Tanks...they had an K/D Ratio of 10 to 1 but they were a 22th of the tanks the US had in WW2

There are no major differences between polish and czech, or ukrainian and russian, or croatian and serbian. Slavic language is same, insignificant difference is because of vast territory slavic people inhabit. From Warsaw and Prague on the west, Kiev and Moscow on the east and Zagreb and Beograd on the south. It is normal to change dialect and prouncment of particular words after 1000 years.

Roman Empire was capitalists. Back then they didnt had communism. In USSR economic planners set quotas on everything that have to be produced, money dont play major role then. Same in Russia(and China). President can set quotas and that have to be produced. Especially in wartime. There is no time to pay, recieve checks, sign treaties. Even England did that in WW2. English government confiscated and collectivized heavy industry, light industry, and even set quotas on small businesses. Thus english economy wasnt much different in WW2 from Soviet economy.

For war, you need production, not trade. If those companies bankcroupted thats because they were unable to sell their products and pay their workers(i simplified). When State take control over that company, it can produce goods again, just those goods are now war effort, it will go straight to the front, while workers will get colorful paper called token to buy food.

Russia doubled it recently, so if there says 19%, now must be 30%.

Funny, but Germany tripled arms export since 2011, not many people knows that, i guess they doesnt read that stuff. So if there says Germany 6%, now it is 18%. They are back on the market. Just, they produce small arms(pistols, rifles and snipers), no destroyers, submarines, fighters, radars. They are not allowed yet. I think they will start to produce that as well in near future, so percentage will raise to atleast 30%. Until then Chinas arms export will jump from 2% to 10%, completing the monopoly of USA/Germany/Russia 90% and China's 10% (100%)

and, even if Russia would be 30% now, thats still less than 60% Nato...duh

Ukraine is Russia.

If we talk about politics, nowdays are the best days for Russia to do something in order to improve their status, we'v seen NATO got invovled in their buisness and humilated them since they colleapsed (intervation in serbia, syria, georgia..), and everyone is talking about that their economy is coleapsing, and for some reason, for hundreds of years, the leaders russia (and USSR if you want), are looking for influence in every piece of soil in the world where the waters are'nt frozen (I can think about few reasons economical, political, militarial and etc..), When Syria tested Obama's red line (and the second one, and the third..), they discovered that the west is unable to go for war, because of pressures from home, so as i said, if Russia wants to do something to improve their status, that's the right time (and ofcourse, it's only how it looks from the reported events, maybe there was something else beyond the scenes, we the simple people can never know if what we see is really what is going on).

The Ukrainian army is very qualitative considered to its economical abilities, but we don't really know who its hard and sword belong to, and I don't think they will have enough time to get enough soldiers to stop marching russing army to kiev (ofcourse the chance such an action will happen is low), especially if the russian population will suppurt them, pictures of the russian army in kiev will be status changer for them, when everyone talking about the chinese dragon claiming for the crown, people will see you have a bare who survived and threats the palace (europe).
