Rules: Any refusal to play a match in the tournament will result in an automatic loss to whomever challenged you. I don't care what the excuse is. It WILL BE A LOSS. For that matter, anyone who does not reply to another player's request to play will be considered a refusal to play and will also count as a loss. I know this sounds unfair, but I am letting everyone know ahead of time. My suggestion is that if you do not have enough time to play a match, do not get on AW because challenges will likely come as soon as you log on(especially if you are in 10th place). With that said, the exception to this rule is that you are allowed to refuse the opportunity for someone to play you if you have already played them that day. As for the settings for the match, the matches must be 1v1 in which you capture the other player's capital. Other than those two rules, you are allowed to play on any map, with any funds, with any other settings you like. All rules and victories will be enforced through screenshots, so DO NOT FORGET TO PROVIDE SCREENSHOTS.

P.S. If this turns out to be a popular tournament, I have considered starting Coalition and Tag Ladders as well in future seasons. Hope everyone has fun! Cheers!
Update #1: Upon further consideration, I have decided to limit the number of challenges to 1 challenge per person per day and the tenth ranked player will have to play no more than 2 matches a day to defend his spot.
Update #2: Screenshots must now also include the time and date within the screenshot so I may easier pull up the game in the game logs to verify. Therefore, do not embed the SS. Simply post a hyperlink to it. Also, a player will not be moved down for not playing on the first challenge(assuming he has good reason). Rather, a person will not lose a position until he has failed to play three consecutive challenges. Once again, screenshots with dates/times are required.

Update #4: You will not receive a point on the Slayer Leaderboard for beating the person who took 1st place from you.
Read this. Spart say there is no sign up, just challenge someone to 1vs1 and post SS here. If they decline then you advance. EDIT: there is no rank 9 so I though I'l just keep 1vs1'ing someone else until I've got #1

If someone has been unreasonably inactive, I will inform the players and remove them from the ladder and they will have to fight their way back up upon their return. For the first match to get on the ladder, it does not matter who you play as long as you win. Also, I expect a lot of changes, and I plan to update the ladder as many times a day as I can. You can only play matches on the current ladder though. No double playing that means. You must wait until the ladder has been updated to play your next match.

1) What are the "preset" settings if there is no agreement? 2) Why everyone (you incluide) is either declining or not replying my 1vs1 ladder request?

1) I would rather not make any preset settings because then 99% of the matches played will be played with those settings, and I would much rather see a variety of maps and funds used in this tournament. If for whatever reason you cannot agree, I suggest playing the default duel settings that are accepted by the majority of the AW community. 2) Because no one is a participant currently. Stop asking for 1vs1 Ladder Requests and simply open up a 1v1 until someone joins and beat them. Then, you will be added to the ladder once you post your SS here.

Update #2 added. Also, people please stop trying to sign up like a regular tourney. As I stated before, all you have to do is win a 1v1 to enter into the original ladder. (P.S. You may not challenge Clovis for 1st place until the ladder has been filled.)

No a denial. Denial on your part since he offered you a setting time that would work. Either way, I have updated the rules. Also, I will be judging each denial on a case by case basis and may try to be more lenient on what I call a denial and what I do not call a denial.

Nice rules to defend Clovis position, he was asking in global to challenge him for the tournment and for his first place... I think new entries challenging the last in the ladder would have been a better rule , but nvm, u wanna defend clovis ... thats ok

Not an update to rules, Skenderfailatsarcasmbeu, Please read the original rules. It says that you can only enter the ladder by beating the #10 ranked player and that the first 10 participants on the ladder will be decided by the first to post a victory. Also, the Top 10 is going to switch anyways. Being first Day 1 gives you NO REAL ADVANTAGE when you have a 120 day league. You would still have to consistently beat the top players to defend that #1 spot so by the end of the season it would still be a verified #1. All I did was provide clarification to the rules, so please don't even try to claim that I am being bias.

You know you are actually right ...forget my comment. This all makes sense when you think about it longer then 5 seconds xD still it will be a bit chaotic tracking everything. P.S. Slayer trophy sounds more cool then number 1 and it might end up in a draw or none at all in theory if number 1 never loses a match ...highly unlikely but...

If there is a tie, higher rank will receive the award. If the number 1 rank never loses(which would be a shocker) I will probably just not hand out that trophy this season.
