Sorry if this has been asked before but I searched and found nothing. So in my colonial scenario all the major powers always ally and it's really annoying. So can we have preset alliances that can't be broken until I allow it in events or something. So maybe I'll make 13 colonies an ally of Great Britain until turn x then they can end their alliance if they want.

Why can't you just make it a team game and have everybody who is suppose to be allies with each be on the same team? I get that you can't break the alliance afterwards but then again breaking alliances might not be a good idea since the host can rage and ban you now.

True but this opens up a-lot of possibilities like having Russia and Japan remain at peace in a WW2 game till a certain turn.

Could we also not have everyone start out at war in scenario/non scenario? Unless it's something like Nazi Germany and Russia, I don't think Canada and Great Britain should be at war~

That introduces another problem: what if the players declare war or someone sets up a game that turns out to be boring for the first 10 turns (about an hour) but becomes pivotal later? If we had role-players in a game, we could do that.

Well you can set the truce to be breakable after a certain turn.

Exactly what I mean. Players could have a very important scenario side but not be able to do anything right away for the first 10 turns, 40-50+ minutes.
