I just made this post to see who impacted each of us individually the most in terms of the AW community. We were all nooblets at some point and our play style was surely somehow affected by what we saw when playing or learned from other AW players. So what players contributed to making you the player you are on AW today?

Tbt to when The Tactician was actually online. He got me hooked on 3v3s and eu+ stuff. Then Stryko (u da man btw) trained me to where I am now.

My friend battier and I both helped each other out as we learned the ropes, we mostly play(ed) scenario games or special map type games like 'Age of Empires' when it used to be more popular.

I used to go RA and blitz but watching the atwar community eventually helped me figure out to use PD (Which I hated because I couldn't fathom how you expanded with it )

Thanks for the mentions, guys. It's good to know I could contribute somehow with players that became better than me, cheers!

As for me, I can recall some epic world games against learster (GW vs MoS) that made me want to develop my tactics. There was also Gigglin, who was the top in my early AW days and all my first coalition mates at WBL.

Honestly, I learned to play from a friend in engineering class. He gave me a run down on the basics and eventually got bored of the game himself, but I found a lot more interest in the game and just pursued it. I thought the game was a lot more popular than it was and tried to look up many guides and use the units FAQ to see how the game worked, but ultimately the most understanding came down to the people who answered my questions in the questions section.

I actually started a very long time ago, and was a total noob initially, but was patient with summoning cheap units in every city and dragginf them slowly to the frontline, which has won me many games for China, India and in Scenarios like LotR. I was RA or None first. Then I saw those Militia spamming technique from a random guy about 2 years ago and I got crazy by getting owned and started to use GW myself and upgraded my marines first. This gradually led to a change to MoS, but I still preferred GW in most cases. Then some random 3v3 for Turkey pointed me the idea to use PD, and then I started to love it as well, and with using INF a lot I started to love MoS, which is now my fav. At this stage Mauzer Panteri helped me a lot in theoretical understanding of the game, as well as showed me some practical tricks. Then I picked a lot from random good players in 3v3, where I have always been quite a noob actually.

The principles of honour, things like never breaking alliances unless you accidentally allied someone who started to do smth awful to others or the game, helping noobs, explaining some tricks for them, transferring knowledge to new players and other important psychological positions about this game I developed fully myself.

I got a lot of help from different people in chat, but would also like to thank LuwigII, Meester, Enfant terrible, CREATIN, Valyria, Undisputed and others.

I remained a freelancer without a Clan ever since I started and will remain in this position.

Some people I found influential through light training although I feel like many things I picked up from just playing nonetheless these people I would consider important in my AW education

Sixstars, Vril, Desu, Devil, Leaf, Tesla (actual training / tips)

Forever Alone, Kona-Chan, Goblin, V-Dog, Mauzer, Dbacks, Thunderballs, Clovis, Acquiesce (playing vs) Obviously you learn from everyone you play but these are the guys I have always enjoyed/hated playing.

Dbacks, Bertank, I played against them a lot during my younger ranks
Other players I played a lot were Tesla, Kaliraa, Comrade in Arms I think idk theres probably more but my memory sux

I guess I learned most from Forever Alone, b0nker2 and Desu from training and tips etc.

The funny thing about this is by the time you realize that this is completely pointless, it's too late to stop reading.
