Maybe an elo accelerator and decelerator the more games clans play?

EG, if a clan plays 50 games and win they win the elo +5% of the elo won; if if a clan playes 63 games they win the elo +6.3% of the elo won, 78 games = + 7.8% etc

Same principle for losses, if a clan play 50 games and lose, they lose standard elo -5% of the elo lost. Same for 63 game, they lose the standard elo -6.3%. 78 games = -7.8%

This would make the elo system a little fairer for more active cw clans.

I dissagree as this would push clans to recruit more players so they can get the elo, leading to less diversity of clans.

How about you inform yourself how ELO actually works then come back and reread what you posted.

I know how elo works, what makes you think I don't? I am looking at ideas to change the elo system for clans, so perhaps you could go back and re-read the post. Why do you bother commenting on this when you don't even play clan wars? Total clan wars played: 0, according to your profile, in fact you don't even have a clan or ever been in a clan in this game. Also please don't quote me without contributing something worthwhile reading. Cheers

I am not sure how you come to this but ok, yes it may lead to bigger clans but at least it would encourage activity. Look at the clan war league now, CN have a win/losss ration of 1.84, MK, have 1.04 and we have played twice as many games against the same strength clans yet they feature higher in the league.

That's because MK lost to clans with higher seasonal ELO and beat clans with higher seasonal ELO. W/L ratio is irrelevant to the ELO formula. As for CW activity, I agree this is something we should encourage but I don't think this is the appropriate means to that end.

13/20 of your last cws have been against the lowest 2 elo clans, hense the small gains. Activity alone should not win, you have a choice of massification vs the weaker clans of the season for smaller gains, or choosing to play the in form clans. 1 cw vs Illy (in form) win will gain same points as 3 vs evol/sm (out of form) up to you to decide what is beneficial to your clan but activity alone should not win seasons.

What should be incentivated is not clan war activity, but clan war quality. That's why the ELO system is nice.
