I feel like they really should have taken some of atwar's best map creators... an like interviewed on what they could do better with the map creator.
I'm starting to think they broke map editor and it's never comming back.

idk... it probably has something to do with the pyramids though.
Pyramids are said to gather supernatural forces so you could turn a dull blade razor sharp

This is actually a pretty great idea. Remind me if we forget to implement it in the HTML5 editor.

Amok promised the map editor is 99.99% done and at the top of the priority list, so maybe we'll get it before the end of the century?

Things haven't been moving for a long time, because that 1% left is the really hard bit, and we could never find enough time/willpower to finish it. But now we have a dedicated programmer and things are really moving, yay!
And btw, I love this thread's idea, I hope we'll get to implement it after the 'vanilla' editor is released.

Dude - your example already exists - when a mapmaker creates a map, you can set whether a player keeps the units they start with the whole game (German player building German units in conquered territories). It already exists. You're complaining about nothing.
You need to talk to the map creator to ask them to change the setting.

You obviously didn't understood the concept.

I don't know if it's feasible, but it would be a really, really great feature.
The current "Limit reinforcements to your own units" option isn't flexible enough
