It's strange everyone is claiming HTML5 is slow...Yet, I have no problem making my moves in two minutes...

You are wrong. I won't argue either as that's not the point of this thread, but your only posts were about what competitive means, so don't go around telling people they're going off-topic.

You can't tell some one they are wrong with out any evidence... it just makes you look like a jackass.

I had actually comment this thread previously but decide to delete it to give him more time to answer the PMs.

Just so you guys know, his only purpose with those posts was to somehow humillate me in public and mute me after that. You can notice this by looking who is insulting who, and who is quoting who. He even declined to lead this discussion to PM just to make me keep replying to his posts here.

I've send a PM in regards of that topic to whoever his opinion matters for me. If anyone want to talk about that then send me a PM, because I won't talk about this subject in this thread anymore.

Returning to the main topic: If this thread was just a rant then it doesn't really have any purpose, does it? lol. Anyway Epic Clan is constantly active and looking for CWs, just that other clans won't play us. We almost got one with VS but opi didn't wanted to, and ENIGMA didn't wanted to play our ranks.

In regards of the duels, I am actually seeing it as normal as previously, so no issues with that. Even I am seeing more 3vs3 than before in main room.

Just like The Tactician said, just like Amok said, they will eventually adapt and play again. This is more a matter of how much it takes them than anything.

Do people not understand the natural fall in activity that comes from such a big change? Do people also not understand the natural slow rise in activity that comes from new players deciding to return once the game gets better and new players that weren't affected by change?

Stop categorizing anyone supporting HTML as buttlicking, just because people want to actually adapt to change makes them buttlicking the admins? Just because people aren't COMPLAINING AND WHINING ABOUT HOW AW IS GOING TO DIE AND THE GAME IS HORRIBLE makes them buttlickers? Just because people want to play their game on a browser when SL isn't supported on any browser? I could go on and on, but you hopefully get the point. HTML5 isn't unplayable anyway, but some people have integrated their gameplay so much with the SL mechanics that without them they are crippled. I agree its harder and less convenient right now to play but its an investment towards the future. Like I said before: The admins may have rushed to switching to HTML5, and the people less equipped to play (comp specs wise) will suffer, and the people who are freaking out about HTML are short sighted.

HTML killed atwar, should have just kept Silverlight. I don't think participation will recover, we were already losing players before the change.

HTML5 was indeed needed, it didn't kill atwar at all. From Afterwind to Atwar, silverlight has been in this game for far too long... No one likes the same content everyday which HTML5 brings a new feeling to the game especially to the players that have been here for 3 years and so for. HTML5 is a bit slow but nothing is perfect when it is launched, silverlight is old now this is the next gen of "Atwar" also it's more appealing to new players, it stands out more... Thanks!

Just throwing this out there but does anyone know when we're getting map maker for html?

My Opinion? Good Change, because I read sth about HTML making it possible to get AW into steam. The steam market for free to play games is huge and brings a massive potential new player base. Combined with sth like steam achivements I think this would give the community the fresh blood it needs desperately. ( And some well deserved money for the devs)
