About the mod election there weren't many choices. There was some guy that I had in mind but he's been spamming global and ranting about tbs. Shame. Again, CC was a great choice, but I wish someone more active had come to the plate.
What impresses me the most is the community's change. A couple of weeks ago everybody was raging at admins, holding strikes and refusing to play. Lobby was empty, and there was no CW activity whatsoever. Compare that with today. People seems emotive and there're good vibes around. CW season became interesting, people are actually dueling. Good clans and players are coming back from the graves. Tournaments are showing some bit of activity, people are making new peaks.
... But the old elite is still alive. Sadness. Where are those who said that atWar was dead. I demand a refund.
Regardless of them, atWar's future looks brighter now. I'm interested in seeing where it will go. There's finally some progress in the map editor and it's coming, be it late than never.

Safari use to say "it's not dead but it's on the table and it needs to be resuscitated" I The admins coming back and doing stuff is a form of resuscitation and I welcome it. Hopefully now I will have more a reason to play.
