I think mods would not access/enter a private game before turn3 or 5.

Also support.

The simplest way would probably be a spectator list where every spectator is shown to the players or the game owner only, this would be my favored solution and was also proposed before.

As a mod, I 100% support a spectator list. Great idea Cow.

Yes, you're absolutely right. There should be a spectator list.

I'm ok with the proposal and I understand the confidentiality issue of practicing strats and moves... but I prefer the "practice game modus" with its main elements:
  • No SP for players and not accounted as played game
  • Private modus (so only invited players/spectators can join)
  • If MODs join, it will be shown on screen "~Columna Durruti joined as spectator"

Furthermore, this "practice game modus" would be a woderful tool to test new maps/scenarios.

Cheers,
CD

it could be cool if mods are not able to post in closed topics to make them look like their right.
closed topics should not be able to be unlocked unless the mod that closed it does it himself and it should say: [unlocked at DATE, by MOD, Reason.] [lock at DATE, by MOD, REASON].

We had this idea before (of a spectators list). I really support this! But moderators still need to enter private games if needed; to solve problems like farming. But its cool with me if players can see that a moderator is spectating.

Let me also add: Moderators are already able to see in what game a player/moderator is playing or spectating. You can always ask a moderator to check if someone is watching your game.

I support the idea, but I won't even comment the possibility that I had entered his games before. I know it's just a speculation, but I already stated my opinion on the subject before. However, it's not even important in this thread and having the option to see the spectators is a good idea.

How I see these issues:
  • Because of SP farming Mods shall keep the capability of sneaking into normal games (open or private) without the players being able to notice it. Whenever there is a game that has SPs involved, Mods shall be able to observe without being noticed. I disagree with Hugosh; recent events have led me to the opinion that observing a SP farming game, to make the case with SS is important (a sort of "criminal investigation" OMG, kkkkkk) and the non-stealth presence of Mods would close this possibility.
  • There should be, as mentioned before, a Practice Game Modus for players deciding to: practice strategy development, colaition training, private training, map and scenario testing, etc. In this modus there would be no SPs (distributed but yes counted during game to see progress) and the game would not be accounted as played game (won, lost, played). Additionally, it would be in private modus (so only invited players/spectators can join) and if MODs join, it would be shown on screen "~Columna Durruti joined as spectator".

There is NO need for moderators joining such a practice mode game AT ALL, hence it should be forbidden. Support the rest, even though it has been suggested this way before.
