Today is good news for our huge international community, the multi-language support is now officially out of beta and is ready to use!
As you've probably already noticed, there are now some pretty flags on the login page and in the lobby (top left corner).

Another new addition is the separate local chat channels. Two new additional tick boxes were added to the chat channels list: 'Show English Chat' and 'Talk in English'. These should be self-explanatory, but just in case they aren't: unticking the 'Show English Chat' option will only show chat in your local language, while ticking the 'Talk in English' option will post your messages on the English channel instead of local. Please make sure to only write in English when the 'Talk in English' option is ticked.

There are currently 15 languages available:
  • Arabic
  • Chinese Simplified
  • Chinese Traditional
  • Dutch
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Hebrew
  • Macedonian
  • Spanish
  • Turkish
  • Estonian
  • Portuguese
  • Polish
  • Italian

Spanish looks good, but there are some mistakes... do we correct them in the same format (https://poeditor.com) we have been working on?
Finally, is it possible to change font size in some places so the translated words fit into the buttons and other spaces reserved for the text? Cause some translations into spanish (and portuguese) - for instance "beginners" is "principiantes" and "Cln Wars" is "Guerra de Coaliciones" - do not look well when loaded into the boxes... they even become unreadable because they occupy two lines.

Cheers,
CD

As Louis had suggested, try to shorten the words instead. And yes, just correct them in the POEditor, I'm making regular updates from it.

Latin is lame and autistic, you can't have f0r and t0 instead of 4 and 2 and other stuff like this. It's terrible.
Other than that, good job.

Seriously did you realize that the vast majority of language in game are speaked in more than 1 country. In every case the historical base of the language is used as the flag. It's not because that I have the flag of France each time that i log in that I will complain. Stop to defend the stereotype that american are dumb please. The english language is from England not USA. Also if you want to improve a bit your knowledge when your country just started to exist you almost voted for German and French as official working language "de facto" with english. The englishmonopoly won by a couple vote only if I'm right.

Flags are about representing the language. I believe more people can recognize the Union Flag than the Stars and Stripes on a global scale. Similarly, the French Tricolour is more identifiable, as is la Rojigualda for Spanish. It is also very much about attribution to the European country that introduced the language during Colonial Times. For me, it's a tribute to history.

There is American English. It's similar but different spelling of words such as 'colour' and 'color'. I just felt like throwing it out there just because.

Wow great so we will need france french, quebec french, switz french, belgian french, maghreb french, african french etc. Are you serious?

By the way colour is the right historical spelling. This word have french roots so we need to keep the "u" for historical reasons. Couleur = Colour

I prefer using 'color' than 'colour'

'Colour' looks like a stupid way to spell it.

Kaeper, it looks stupid to you because you are American and not English. Stop being so close-minded about this.

Colour is perfectly fine.

This game is being opened up to the international community. This is not a USA made game, and as such it should never be treated as such. Usa is bunched together with the rest of the international community and deserves no special treatment.
